Deceased - When a loss occurs

This is the dua Muslims recite when they hear news of a death or any loss. It expresses acceptance of Allah's decree and reminds us of our ultimate return to Him.

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

Transliteration:
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raajioon

Meaning:
Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:156
