Salaam wa laykum, I am Mustapha (24yrs-South African/Moroccan) a lawyer and I am the founder, deveIoper and director of Muslim Medina.org with the aim of this organisation which strives to provide shariah services, mediation services and educational and journalistic content. This goals extends to also bringing more awareness to shariah and ADR for Muslims.

I completed five years of studying in South Africa, holding both a Certificate in legal studies (1 year) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (4 years). My diverse professional background spans the public and private sectors, including valuable experience within Parliament, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), specialized NGOs like ProBono.Org, my universities law clinic, a small commercial and litigation firm and a medium size debt collection firm. As well as experience in running my own legal tech business focussed on AI.

Relevant experience in education other than what i do currently and provide through my website is I have built free courses in programming, IT and english and I built an educational app for school students, as well as experience in tutoring over 40 first year under graduate students.

I started developing my Islamic android app from 2021 (which focused on technology, educational content, charity and which had many features such as qibla compass, prayer times, built in quran and many of the tools, features and content seen in this website) and after 4 years of developing it alone, I released my app in 2024. Due to the fact I faced many challenges in growing it and the challenges I faced in sometimes updating it, in 2025 to reach more people I had spend a year trying to develop my website. I built a few websites in 2025 before I decided on my current website which took me almost half a year to complete.

The launch of this website previously copied my app with extra added features, content and with the inclusion of services and ai chatbots which the app had not provided. However this project has since undergone different stages with the inclusion of services and then exclusion of certain services and features which ultimately lead Muslim Medina.org to take a different direction for many reasons. I do intend if allah wills to intergrate those previous features of mine again in Muslim Medina.org. My apologies to those affected as some had become stake holders in some of the old features i had previously offered.

I now intend to continue with my goals and vision to provide mediation and Shariah services and educational and journalistic content.
