What is the Quran

The Quran is the holy book of Islam, the religion that worships Allah as the only God. Muslims believe that the Quran is the word of God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW (peace be upon him) through the angel Jibreel over a period of 23 years. The Quran contains 114 chapters, called surahs, that cover various topics such as faith, law, history, ethics, and spirituality. The Quran is the primary source of guidance and authority for Muslims, and is recited, studied, and memorized by millions of Muslims around the world
